Liquor Marketing Group (LMG) is an unlisted public company trading on a not-for-profit basis. Established in 1977, alongside its banner group ‘Bottlemart’, LMG was created by a group of 400 NSW hoteliers. LMG is one of Australia’s leading alcohol marketing groups, proudly representing more than 1,400 independent operators in the $17.5 billion Australian retail packaged liquor sector. LMG initially operated predominantly in NSW, where the membership was frustrated with the existing wholesale arrangements. A business plan was commissioned and accepted to create an independent wholesaling and distribution company to service the membership. Through expansion of the LMG brand and numerous mergers and acquisitions, LMG now operates Australia wide with offices in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Each state is represented by a business development manager, who provides support to state members in delivering a range of targeted activity to drive foot traffic and enhance profitability for both members and suppliers. Liquor Marketing Group operates several independent retail banner groups, Bottlemart being its largest, with more than 650 members. Further national coverage is achieved via retail banner groups SipnSave and Harry Brown.
